Driving Directions / How to find us
When we travel from the UK to our home we always take the Dover to Calais crossing then take the A16 into the A26 to Rouen. At Rouen we turn south onto the N154 through Evreux, Dreux, Chartres before finally joining the A10 just north of Orleans. (This route means you avoid Paris)
The A10 turns into the A71 and at Vierzon take the free motorway the A20. You can turn off this motorway from junction 45 but we always stay on until junction 54 as this gives us the straightest road. From junction 54 take the N140 through Martel and Gramat, heading in the direction of Figeac. (Be warned that Sat Nav’s try to make you turn off this route but if you do, you will end up on very small country roads.)
Then at Le Bourg turn left onto the D940 towards Lacapelle-Marival and in the middle of this town you turn right onto the D653 and continue on this road until you get to Latronquiere.
On entering the village of Latronquiere on the D653 ( beware its give way to the right when driving around the village ) you will come to a "T" junction, here turn right, beware you must give way, in the direction Maurs and then after about 100 metres bear left onto the D29 in the direction of Le Rougot, La Bastide, Maurs & Lauresses, continue on this road through the village and all the time continue towards Maurs and Lauresses ( if you reach the village of Lauresses you will have gone too far ).
After leaving the village boundary sign for Latronquiere you will pass by three road junctions on your left, one large and two small, after the third look out for some overhead electric cables crossing the road and then turn next left into the small lane, on the corner is a red and white fire hydrant and a sign to Las Costes (although you cannot read this easily from this direction). Continue to the bottom of the lane where you will find your holiday gite through an opening in a stone wall on the left hand side.
